Project Overview
About Vistra and their business relationship with tickl.
Vistra is a global corporate services provider with over 100 offices across Asia-Pacific, EMEA and the Americas, with annual revenues of approximately £13 billion.
tickl partnered with Vistra in 2025 on a project supporting the Procurement function. The project focussed on Vistra’s supplier data, working to address inconsistencies, fragmentation, and lack of visibility and insight.

The Challenge
The challenges faced by Vistra before tickl intervened.
Vistra’s Accounts Payable (AP) data was stored across multiple entities, countries, and accounting systems, each of which had its own standards, formats and supplier naming conventions. Furthermore, supplier names, invoice details and classifications varied greatly, resulting in duplication and inconsistent reporting. This made it impossible for Vistra to obtain a single, accurate view of suppliers and associated spend. Without a unified data foundation, Vistra lacked the visibility to manage costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
System harmonisation: Normalised and standardised AP data across countries, aligning formats and converting all amounts to USD for comparability.
Cross-system integration: Built a unified data model that merged outputs from all systems using common business keys, while segmenting spend into vendor, employee, and intercompany categories.
AI-driven supplier harmonisation: Applied rule-based logic and GPT-powered models to consolidate duplicated supplier identities and establish a clean, canonical supplier list.
Three-level taxonomy classification: Implemented an AI-assisted L1–L2–L3 taxonomy engine to classify every invoice, enabling structured analysis of spend areas and service types.
Spend analytics & dashboards: Delivered interactive dashboards showing global spend trends, supplier concentration, fragmentation and consolidation opportunities across major spend categories.

Project Outcomes
A unified, high-quality global spend dataset with harmonised suppliers, standardised invoice classifications, and consistent USD-based values, giving Vistra a single source of truth for all spend analysis.
A comprehensive suite of dashboards providing global visibility into spend trends, taxonomy shares, supplier fragmentation and consolidation opportunities, empowering Vistra’s Procurement function with actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Together, these outcomes enabled Vistra to understand their global supplier landscape with clarity for the first time, supported by reliable, comparable and decision-ready data.
